I, like many other people think that old trucks are just cool! I've painted a number of them including 3 that are currently hanging in grandson's rooms. This one has rust and patina visible all over under it's old original paint job. I wonder what it was used for and if it's one that could be restored?

In person the colors are more vibrant than captured by the photo. 

This is acrylic 15" x 30" on 3/4" gallery canvas. It's coated with satin varnish. It's framed in a simple rustic wood frame stained in a golden oak color.

I've always been drawn to the classic shape and charm of old pickup trucks, wondering what they were used for and how they were maintained and cared for. The rust peeking through the old paint is a testament to their long lives and speaks to their solid construction.
